Welcome to BBF.

Doubtful that the 8500 series will get OS 6. Doesn't have the processor or the memory required to run it.

Using the SEARCH feature and a read through of the OS 6 section, here is what popped up:

OS 6 Official devices

And from a RIM press release in August:

"Compatibility with Existing BlackBerry Smartphones

BlackBerry 6 will debut on the new BlackBerry® Torchxxx8482; smartphone (announced today) available from AT&T on August 12 and it is also designed to run on select BlackBerry smartphones already in market. Subject to carrier certifications in the months ahead, the new OS is expected to be available for the BlackBerry® Boldxxx8482; 9700, BlackBerry® Boldxxx8482; 9650 and BlackBerry® Pearlxxx8482; 3G, as well as future BlackBerry smartphones."

No and it is unlikely (due to memory) that OS6 will be available for the 8520.
