Long time since I have posted.

I want to go back to my 9700 from my 9800 and have just discovered that restoring your os5 device from a back up from a os6 device doesn't work.

What i am experiencing is that the option button no longer takes you to your apps screen and does nothing except on the second tap brings up the short menu.

I have asked someone and they said they were able to restore from os6 to their os5 9700 but have no idea why their's worked and mine doesn't.

im perplexed??

help?

Rim reports no clear method so I suggest using JL_cmdr
