This is an early 5 Amp Ammeter that looks to be from the early1900’s
We can’t find a patent date but it does have brass identityplates. One has Germany stamped on it and below that is a name James G offerdlePhiladelphia USA.
We don’t know if that was the seller or the person whoordered the manufacturing.
The name Otis is also burned into the wood and it has a Brassplate with a serial No.449710.
The unit itself is covered in baked porcelain on brass? Themetal is not magnetic.
This would make a great display piece and a great addition toyour collection.
