[zipedit]1pcs 6\" Dallas Semiconductorsilicon waferfeaturing DS2256 Parallel Interface Static RAMYou are purchasing a very unique six inches silicon wafer made by Dallas Semiconductor. The wafer feature a parallel static RAM design from Dallas Semiconductors, the DS2256. There is no available information ordata sheet for this part number, but the 1987 date code present on the wafer indicate that this is an early design. In addition of the DS2256 RAM, the wafer feature numerous test patterns, one of which is marked DS9256. Engineers have also etched a tribute to the Louisiana State University baseball team with a rendition of atiger jumping over the LSU stadium, and the motto \"Geaux (Tigers)\", followed by DSC (Dallas Semiconductor Corporation).
This wafer represent a great example of semiconductor manufacturing technology from the late 80\'s and makes for great educational, collection and display item. It will produce shiny, multicolored rainbow reflection with light, like a CD.

The surface of the wafers is fragile and should not be touched to avoid scratches. Handling of the wafers is best done by holding them on the rim, as finger prints will easily stain both the top and bottom surface. While quite robust, the wafers can break with very sharp an cutting edges.
