879nm 880nm 45W Coherent FAP High Brightness Laser Diode Module Tested Good SMA 879nm 880nm 45W Coherent FAP High Brightness Laser Diode Module Tested Good SMA 45 watt 880nm fiber coupled laser diode module made by Coherent. This is model FAP800-45W-877.0 to 882.0-F90E<3.5-25C. This part number specifies:
- 800um fiber bundle on SMA connector
- Output Power: 45W
- Wavelength: 877 - 882nm (temperature tunable to 879 / 880nm)
- Bandwidth: 90% power<3.5nm
- Nominal temperature: 25.0C
I\'ve carefully inspected and tested these and they produce 40W or more at 50A (the highest my LDI-830 laser diode driver will go) and meet the wavelength / bandwidth specs. I believe typical operating current for these is around 59A. These need to be attached to a decent size heat sink to prevent overheating. Each unit has a 10K ohm NTC thermistor attached to the base that can be used to monitor the module temperature.
