The Amplifier Research model AR 40AD1 RF amplifier is unique in that it covers the frequency range from 1 MHz all the way down to DC.  This makes it ideal for a wide range of applications including:
  • biomedical signals
  • long pulse signals
  • servo applications
  • audio/ultrasonic frequencies
  • RF susceptibility testing
  • amplifying swept or other signal generator outputs
  • watt meter calibration to DC
  • driver for high power amplifiers
 The 40AD1 is a broadband amplifier designed for laboratory applications where instantaneous bandwidth high gain and moderate power output are required. Push-pull MOSFET circuitry lowers distortion improves stability and allows operation into any load impedance without damage. The Model 40AD1 when used with an RF sweep generator will provide a minimum of 40 watts of swept power. Direct coupled throughout allowing very low frequency signals to be used. Included is a front panel gain control which permits the operator to conveniently set the desired output level. This amplifier uses universal input line voltage switching power supplies thus allowing its use over a wide range of input voltages without wiring or switch position changes.  Type N connectors are on the rear of the unit. The Amplifier Research is a well respected \"old school company\" that is know for conservative designs and quality construction.  This amplifier is currently listed on the AR website as a legacy product with a price of $12675USD. Features & Specifications include:
