I retired in 2015 after spending the majority of my career workingin testing and calibration labs.
My wife and I moved east to be closer to our son’s.
After performing some cleaning in our garage and she says\"...if it isn\'t going to be used it has to go\".
I acquired this item used a number of years ago with the intent ofpossibly opening my own calibration laboratory someday.
I have never previouslyused it. It has been kept in storage since then.
Iperformed a “functional test” only of the amplifier.
1.)Depressing the gaging head, I was able to deflect the meter momentfrom left to right of full scale. (NOTE: For purposes of the photos, I simplyused the reversing switch on the gaging head.)
2.)Using a micrometer head, I was able to perform a rudimentaryadjustment of the “gain” potentiometer on the amplifier on the +/-.002” scale.

“230” STYLE AMPLIFIERS
BUILT-IN CIRCUIT TESTER – shows overall gain of gage head- amplifier combination,not just battery voltage. Just turn Range Switch to first operating positionand note whether meter hand is within “Gain OK” area. Gain readjustment is madequickly and conveniently through hole in knob.
TRULY PORTABLE – each amplifier is its own carrying case.Compartment at back houses gage head, cord, and mounting accessories. Gage Headcan be used with cover in place. Battery is readily accessible by removingcompartment panel.
CHOICE OF MAGNIFICATIONS – Three switch-selected scales provide popularcombinations having at least 20 to 1 ratio between highest and lowestmagnification to satisfy virtually every gaging requirement.

Model EHE-1010 gage headhas approximately 2.5 grams gaging pressure, in either direction (knob on headreverses direction)… positive yet so light you don’t need cumbersome fixtures.Use regular test sets or height stands without the fear of lost motion.Pressure change is less than 0.1 gram per .001” of contact travel.
New involute tipautomatically corrects for cosine error when finger is at any angle up to 20°.Simplifies “reach over” jobs. Normally furnished. On regular set-ups angle offinger is no longer critical. Ball tip contact is optionally available, easy tosubstitute.
Gage Head can bepositioned at any angle without affecting calibration. Finger is clutch-mountedfor convenience and protection, has at least .015” free travel on either sideof gaging range (with zero control at mid-range).
