This pump was purchased new by my father whose hobby (one of many) included making jewelry. This pump was used to draw a vacuum when he made lost wax molds. When making a mold, you do not want any air bubbles in the Plaster of Paris so the mold is placed in a vacuum chamber prior to hardening. This machine will create the needed vacuum. He used this pump several dozen times and then it sat on a shelf.Of course it can be used for many purposes including industrial or commercial. Now it is time to pass it on.This pump is Made in theUSA, has been properly maintained and recently tested. It runs on regular household electricity, 110v and is in excellent condition. The gauge dial reads up to 30 inches of vacuum.
