While selling as a Parts or not working device it did function when acquired in the mid 1970,s. Since then the batteries were removed as they were beginning to leak. There was a Big carbon Battery which was hard wired and a replaceable 6 volt battery. A common big square Battery. The batteries still inside are not leaking and have been left alone.
I believe it is repairable by replacing the old electrolytic capacitors and finding proper replacement batteries. I would suppose there ate schematics available for this somewhere.
This meter detects Alpha Beta Gamma Radiation. Being a Geiger Mueller counter, it has additional uses beyond the typical radiation meter.
The Model EA-135 P beta-gamma probe monitor was offered in 1955 for geologists and engineers. It has a locking slide for beta measurements. It has ranges of 500, 1000, 5000 and 50,000 cpm.
Electronic Associates Model EA-135 P 1955
This is likely the first one of these on . Not likely another will appear tomorrow.
Additional photos show this is unmolested with the exception of some corrosion which caused the battery discarding.
See photo's for condition report.
Given knowing the power supply and todays batteries and Solid state circuitry there is no reason to not make up a new advanced power supply for this Measuring set. It has lots of potential.
