One Lot (100) CERAMIC PIEZO (AUDIO) TRANSDUCERS. Part number MPT-16 -or- PAL160-0541 -or- PL1-160-0541. New and Unused from original reel.These are surface mount Audio Transducers with a very low profile height. Dimensions are 0.632\" square by 0.960\" high. There are two sound holes on one side.There are two smd solder tabs for mounting, one on each side which extend 0.85\" out from the package and are 0.12\" wide.I tested these with a signal generator and they will operate with a squarewave signal in the 1kHz to 8kHz range from 3 to 10V.With a sinewave, however, i couldn\'t really get any sound out of it until i got above 4kHz.
The frequency range is fairly wide but some frequencies produce a slightly louder output. You will need to experiment.Not hugely loud due to the small size but enough to annoy some co-workers down the hall when i was playing with it!
I will transfer the parts from the original reels to plastic baggies for shipping to save on cost. Parts will not be damaged at all.Will ship in a USPS 1st class priority Flat Rate Envelope or Small/Medium size Flat Rate box depending on the quantity ordered.
