This is a very nice - almost new looking - capacitor tester by Solar. I tested it and it seems to work fine. The 6E5 eye tube is super bright and it works on all ranges.It also tests for leakage and will allow you to reform caps safely. There are five voltage settings and I measured roughly 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500V on them. Leakage is indicated by a neon bulb. I didn\'t have a known leaky cap, so I used a 100K resistor and the bulb lit right up. No other testing was done.
This is just in superb condition cosmetically - looks like new! It comes with the full manual, two leads, and two different types of holders as you can see in the pictures.
You wont\' find a better one! AND it\'s far cheaper than a Heath IT-28
