These JFETs were matched at a constant 72F degrees using a meticulous lab process.
JFETs are inserted into a custom 90-socket gold-pin ZIF test jig (30 devices per test).
A well-regulated and carefully monitored DC supply voltage of 9.00V (not 9.01V) is
applied while FETs are allowed to stabilize for at least 5 minutes before testing.
Current (Idss) and voltage (Vgs) are then measured quickly on a calibrated
Agilent 34401 6-1/2 digit meter. FETs are matched in pairs to within 0.03mA Idss
AND 4mV Vgs. In some cases, the matching is within 0.01mA and 1mV. The
actual measured Idss and Vgs is noted on each packing bag.
Only a handful of octal-match setscan be achieved in a production matching run.
Currently have 2SJ74BL in the 9.x - 11.x mA range. Perfect for ultra-low-noise front-ends.
