Please note... This meter has a very tight crack in the lower left hand corner of the the case as seenfrom the front.I have provided an extreme closeup photo.... ThanksThis extremely clean vintage Simpson Model 142 VU meter, marked Ampex 142 on the Faceplateis in excellent condition and comes from a non smoking home.
The meter measures 4.25 " x 4.0".The movement appears free and smooth.I no longer have the meansto test, but this Model 142VU was removed from anactive audio transmitter feed.
Typically these meters were found in Ampex Tape recorders, high quality audio boardsand other vintage audio gear in the '60s and '70s.
The meter show is the exact one you'll receive. It will be very securely packed for safe arrival.
