Thermometer is fine, working well. box is toast, but there. I fixed it up as best I could by fitting another box inside it. I think this is from the 70\'.s but am not certain. 8 inch spike. I don\'t believe it was meant for food service, but I see no reason why it couldn\'t be used to take internal temps of food, if you sanitize it first.
