Vintage laboratory hot plate made by the Edwin L. Wiegand Co. in Pittsburgh, PA. It shows wear from use with some light surface rust spots. I have tested it and it works great on all three settings. The heating element is 120V, 1200 watts. It has an old style fabric covered, two prong cord which is in good condition. The electrical box cover is held in place with screws, so the old cord could be easily replaced.
