Vintage ESI 251 LCR Impedance Meter Tested against B+K 875A. Electro Scientific.:

This listing is for a Vintage Electro Scientific Industries (ESI) Model 251 LCR / Impedance Meter.Prior to listing is was tested against a BK Precision 875A LCR Meter, as follows. We did not have Kelvin Clips, so just used terminals 1 and 4.

• A nominal 10nF capacitor was measured: we saw 9.05nF on the ESI, 9.06nF on the B+K.
• A nominal 12K resistor was measured: we saw 12.04K on the ESI, 12.00K on the B+K.
• An unknown inductor was measured: we saw 1.739mH on the ESI, 1.744mH on the B+K. No further testing was performed.

We did observe some erratic behavior at first, which fell off as the rotary switch was operated. This leads us to believe that it and likely the other switches, could use cleaning. Due to the limited testing and the fact that components in vintage items can fail at any time, it is sold as-is, as a restoration project, with no guarantee that you will experience the same results that we did. Listing is for the ESI 251 only, no test leads, power cord or BK Precision 875A are included.This is the only one on with photographic proof of testing - don\'t let it get away!
