This GE TC-3 tube tester comes with some nice adapters, instruction manual and schematic. The meter, face, and knobs all look great, though the case is a bit rough. The test lead for top pins is damaged.I set the tester up to test a known good 6L6GC tube. It correctly passed the tube as having no shorts and the meter went to full deflection to the right when tested for output, so probably there is an out of spec resistor in the test circuit that makes it overly optimistic.Also, it seemed like the line test needs tweaking since it was not easy to get the meter to center on the line mark. Probably another out of spec resistor.To work properly, this should be checked over by someone who understands what it is supposed to do. There are not many parts in here, so it should be pretty easy to get it running as designed. Sockets need cleaning too.
