Vintage (circa 1970\'s) \"VARIAC\" autotransformer.
-Tested for voltage - passed 0-130VAC.
-Tested on/off switch - passed.
-Tested for shorts to from case - none.
-Cord is frayed and should be replaced.
Awesome vintage Variac. Great for vintage amps that were made to run at 115 watts. No need to worry about plugging your gear into an outlet that you might not trust. Avoid power surges that may damage amp components. Running your amp at 105-110volts allows your amp to break up earlier and adds a natural compression. The Variac has been used by legends such as Ritchie Blackmore, Eddie Van Halen, and Jonny Two Bags just to name a few!
