This is a vintage fireman\'s tool by Paratech that can be used for forcible entry into a burning residence. The tool carries Paratech numbers 017134 and 017135, one on either end. It is used for forcible entry and rescue, forcing doors and windows, prying and twisting hasps and locks and metal cutting and chopping. The head end offers a pike, a heavy hatchet serrated teeth, and a nail puller. The foot end provides a metal cutter (looks like an oversized can opener) and a claw and can be used as a pry bar. The tool measures about 15 inches in length and extends as shown. Also, some of the chrome finish shows wear and rust, but the tool is in very good condition overall. It has some very lightly etched letters in the hatchet end that can be seen in the pics.
