Vintage Sargent-Welch ( Van de GRAAF type ) Electrostatic Generator. Measures 29\" tall, and has a 9\" round metal ball. Ball has a couple do dings. Cord is good, and it will need a new belt. motor runs fine - quiet running. Glass is worn and chipped where pulley goes, ( see picture no. 6 ) but they make 2 sets of grooves so that solved the problem for a place for pulley to set. Has 115 volts, 50 watts and 60 HZ. Item shows wear for age and use and is not a item for everyday use. Selling AS IS and as a decor piece, due to age and condition. Do not know if it will make your hair stand up. Great vintage science piece for the collector !!
