I really don't want to return my 8320...but if I can't make calls on my wi-fi that defeats the primary purpose of purchasing this spendy device!

A stroll throught the FAQ's turned up this: (I wrote it ;-))

Mine works great, when at my WiFi hotspots, I am connected 95% of the time. My transitions to and from T-mo's towers is at about 95% reliability as well. My roomie works from home, and she has used it all week so our minutes wouldn't be affected 'cause we are house-sitting and the owner doesn't have a land line. The only time I have issues, is when using bluetooth.

I just can't keep a UMA connection. I'll get it after a battery pull or manually turning off wi-fi and turning it back on again. But after a few minutes I lose it and never get it back. However the wi-fi icon indicates I have wi-fi data. I check the error messages and they are all ISP related. While the UMA isn't critical to my phone experience at this point in time, I'd really like this function to work as advertised.
