EDGE vs UMA battery life comparison
 

Here is a question for all you TMO Curve owners. I mostly keep my settings (in Mobile Network) to Mobile Network Preferred since my router at home does not seem to accept my Curve (yes, I tried all the possible troubleshooting from the forums) and I use my laptop (WiFi) so no need to have UMA in that regards. Anyhoo, I unplug my Curve at 5:30am and charge at 10:00 pm. On average my battery at the end of the day reads 75%. This is in EDGE mode. What is the comparison in UMA?

After my first two days with the Curve running UMA/Wifi on most of the day, I was getting the low battery warning at the end of the day on both days with what I consider moderate use. The 8800 I was using for the past 6 months got about 2 days before the warning with the same usage, so it looks like there's a definite impact.
