phone restarts when I switch on blutooth
 

Hi,

I have this problem with my bluetooth on my blackberry Bold 9780. It's so frustrating! When i switch my bluetooth on, My phone switches off and i have a steady red light. And it keeps on doing it, switching off and on, ON ITS OWN.

It doesn't even give me a chance to switch off the blutooth before it restarts again.

Please someone help me.

Have you had any other problems? Anything problem before the bluetooth issue? If so, that may help narrow the possibilities.

You need to rule out a power issue first. Make sure battery terminals and pins are clean and making contact. Make sure battery is tight in the compartment. If the battery is old (2 years or greater), then try a new genuine BlackBerry battery.

If power is not the issue, then re-install the OS, or upgrade the OS, in order to rule out corrupt software.

Hopefully either the above will fix the problem. If not, the in would suspect broken harware.
