8703e available in retail stores?
 

Does anyone know when the 8703e will be available in retail verizon stores? Id like to see it before i go ahead and buy it.

I was told by a rep at my local store in kennesaw GA that they'd be in this week, i have yet to call him up. So we'll see. Anyone else hear anything?

I was told October here in Denver.

i was told the computer said "Coming Soon" today by a store rep...

In the Dallas area they are supposed to hit the stores this week. However, the rep did some checking at it seems that corporate customers are depleting the warehouse for our area.

So Mr. Smartypants ordered me a new activation phone which I get today. Since I am in the 15 day period he is going to cancel the activation, and move my number over to the 8703e. Go verizon!

My local sales reps and 1-800 customer care reps all say Sept 30th unless you buy it now on the web. They can't do anything until then...they say.

Shame that it takes so much longer to get it in retail stores.

Its also a shame i can't combine my new every 2 with the online discount even though i have to renew my contract.

Yes my rep said the same, he said he'd give me a new activation phone with a new number in order to get the cheaper price. Then he's going to re-port my old number to the new 8703e and just transfer all the plan specifics (data...etc) to my old account. Verizon is sweet.

I got mine online last Friday for $249.99 and then on Monday my business sales rep called me back and said she could combine my "New every two" discount. I asked her to credit it back to my CC. We'll see if that happens. If so I get it for $149.99. (y)

i was told by the customer service rep that I was talking to about a different issue that it should be any day now, possibly as early as sunday. However, he said that most retail stores wouldn't know until a day or two before hand when they recieve the units... He also said the motorola KRZR is coming out around the same time (within the next week or so)..

i think there is a press release from RIM saying oct1st for verizon retial

Please let me know if you manage the 149.99 price. Its pretty ridiculous to me that they will not honor both. I figure i should get the online discount by virtue of me adding another 2 year contract and get my other NE2 discount because i am a "valued" return customer.

That was my point exactly. Granted, once the newness of the 8703e wears off, I'm betting they will do both for everyone like they did with the 72xx BB.

8703e in stores tomorrow... just was at my local store which has them in stock... but not selling them until tomorrow..

Where do you live? I just called my local store, and this time around they said they wouldn't be launching until next month (which i'm hoping means early october). He said they were definitely not there. I guess each location is different at least with phone inventory, but they still don't have a confirmed date as your store did.

Los Angeles.. Just picked one up today... It wasn't on display yet, but I asked and they brought one out..

Next wednesday my store in Thousand oaks California will have them available.

Im near west LA. I'll make the drive. Where exactly in T.O.? Is there a contact person?

Just picked mine up at a local Verizon corporate store this morning (Springfield, Ma.). They are due out tomorrow morning but the store manager ok'd them selling me one today. Im a v710 convert and am slowly overcoming the learning curve to a machine like this. I got it for the 2- year upgrade price due to a $100 discount for me adding the unlimitted data package to my plan. Now I need to get a new BT headset as I killed my Jabra bt250v yesterday. Im liking the tiny Bluespoon unit Im seeing around the web. It took me forever to figure out how to export/ import my contacts but I got thru it. Now to tackle my emails and any cool add on progs (google maps for sure). Thanks for reading my ramble.
