4.7.0.90 keyboard glitch?

When I am on the phone (e.g. On voicemail) and pull up my keypad, I get a weird keypad without any normal numbers, just some symbols and the number 5
. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

I'm seeing the same issue intermittently - i'm sure it'll be fixed in a future OS release.

I notice that too in different screens (including online passwords sometimes)... I think it must be trying to do some sort of context sensitive keyboard and guessing wrong... Usually I'll switch to landscape and it goes to a full qwerty.

Unfortunately you can't go landscape mode while you are on the phone... I basically can't make selections with my keypad while on the phone.

I've had this problem as well. I have TalkLock installed, so when I unlock the phone from TalkLock and try to pull up the keypad, I get the weird symbols. My issue was when I was calling an automated system and had to punch in some numbers (usually in the morning I call an automated parking system, so I am punching in my spot number). What I did was actually call the number manually (I don't get the weird symbols this way), and then TalkLock would activate. But when I deactivated it, this time the weird symbols did not show up, so I could punch in my spot number. Very strange.

The way to get rid of this is to select suretype for portrait mode. If you have it set to qwerty it'll do this every time.

I tried both methods and the suretype thing didn't work but getting rid of talklock worked. Thanks

I have a similar issue. Also have found when in portrait view if I choose full keyboard it will not change intill I switch to landscape then back again. I also have been getting missing from time to time. Usually a quick view change will rectify.

I think I figured it out. I noticed that I was only having this problem when I was dialing a number with a "+" in front. This is how some numbers in my address book are stored, depending on how I obtained them (usually from an email).

Once I entered the number in w/o the preceding "+"...no problems.

I just upgraded to .90 and the same thing happened to me once. I changed the font size from 8 to 10 and it hasn't given me a problem since.
