"Message Relayed For Delivery" UGH!!!
So i have an unlocked blackberry storm, on a local Iwireless (Iowa Carrier, affilate of T-Mobile). This carrier does have blackberrys, just not the storm.
i wireless My problem is: Every time i send a txt to an Iwireless user, i get a txt immediately back that says "Your Messaged Was Delivered"-No big deal, always like that BUT! Every time i send a txt to a NON iwireless user, i get a txt immediately back that says "message relayed for delivery"-this is very odd, and i have never heard about this before, and neither has Iwireless customer service, and verizon won't do anything because it's an unlocked phone. How do i get this to turn off?!? HELP PLEASE! |
Why do you care how the carrier relays the message?. All carriers do inter-carrer relays via RIM for any message not in their own system. Nothing unusual except your carrier is letting you know it may be a cost message for someone who is not on a plan or in your carriers network.. Nice option.

right right, i get all of that, the problem is that i get a text immediately after i send one that says "message relayed for delivery" and it comes in as a txt to my phone, its really obnixious because it means for every conversation i have, my phone goes off twice as many times as it should, and i dont know how to turn it off, thats what im trying to figure out how to do is turn it off

meee toooo!
i just got an unlocked blackberry with Iwireless! and i'm having the exact same problem with the "message relayed for delivery!" I was wondering if you have figured out how to turn it off??!!! because it is super annoying!!
Thanks, Brittani  |
I believe it's a carrier thing. You can try calling Iwireless and asking them, but I doubt you'll be successful. Getting a carrier to change their policy about notifications is no small thing.

Have either of you done a complete wipe on the phone and then tried it again? I have tried a few different blackberries on iwireless and have never had a problem but the first thing I usually do is completely wipe the phone and remove any IT policies if it has any on there.
