A good application is any application that adds value to the phone. Most of the "Top Blackberry" app list I see online are internet enabled apps.

Best app is the ability to SMS or text message. Does the phone have wifi. I am on wap so I can't see your profile.

Okay I see you posted in 8700 thread. No wifi. Then you are very limited. Another app is called paper weight, where you can use your device to place on top of small objects.

You can throw a couple in. My wife isnt much of a gamer though, but she may get bored.

Why is it so hard to believe that people would use a blackberry as a PDA? The data access my wife wants is SMS/MMS (which we have an unlimited plan). She does use the various built in apps: notes, calendar, calculator, etc. I downloaded a medication dictionary for her since she is a nursing student. I'm sure there are tons of other great apps for the BB, just looking for suggestions.

My daughter would like one to use as your wife, for SMS and organizer.
But, carriers usually wont acitvate a Blackberry (at least CDMA carriers) without a BB data plan.
GSM carriers obviously wouldnt know if you used a BB with your SIM card.
