Prevent Application Removal
 

We have just installed Comet Tracker onto our blackberries. After looking at the applications for one users bb, I dont see that software on his device anymore and I think he may have removed it.

I know that I can push the software to the device and make it required, but the software has an ID# assigned to the device and needs to be configured.

Is there a way to prevent users from removing specific applications from the device?

Can you push it out via bes and make it required (as stated above) and then configure it on the handheld after it installs? I'm not familiar with the software you are trying to use, so I don't know what the configuration portion entails...

Also, are all users running the same version of the software because the BES app push can do funny things if you set up an app and the handhelds have different versions than what is on the server.

Yes, they all are running the same software.
Not much to the configuration. Just a device ID and PW. It then verifies with another server. I will try the software configuration with the required policy and see what happens.
