Phone won't read media card

Yesterday morning, I turned the phone on to charge it. The battery was almost dead and then a purple light came on. I charged the phone up, and tried to listen to some music I have on the media card, and it said at the bottom of the screen "scanning". So, I turned it off, took the battery and media card out, put them back in, let it start up and tried again. Then it wasn't registering the media card. So, I reformatted the media card, plugged it into my computer, and replaced the music files. Now it is still stuck on on scanning. When I go to Options > Media Card on the phone, it registers the media card but when I go to Media > Music on the phone, it just stays stuck on Scanning. I don't know what to do. Help, please!

Have tried a battery pull? Also, if there are alot of songs on the media card, it might take some time to complete the scan.

Yup, I pulled the battery out a couple of times. So, far, it's taken 30 minutes. There is no blue progress bar like there was before the purple light came on. In fact, I had twice as much stuff on the media card before yesterday morning and it didn't take long at all to scan it.

Wirelessly posted

You say you formatted the card and replaced the files. What exactly did you do? I'm wondering if you had previously copied all the files, and then just copied those to the card after you formatted it. If so, you may have copied corrupted file(s) back to the card.
Or, even if you didn't do it that way, you still may have copied corrupted files to the card.

I would delete everything, even hidden files, and see if the card works. Or, re-format the card again from the blackberry, test, and then add a few files at a time and test.

I went to Options > Media Card on the phone and reformatted the media card. Then I plugged it into a USB cable and connected it to my computer. I used the Blackberry Desktop Manager to replace the music files. The files aren't corrupted. I had no problems at all with the files and the media card until yesterday morning.

It should be noted that while I it is still stuck on "scanning" if I press the BB button, it pops up a menu and if I click on explore, I can access my files that way.
