Gentlemen

Can someone break out the newest versions

8300 is there higher than v. 0.10 or is there a 0.18-.21
8310 v.18
8320 v.18

Can anyone clear this up for me as I am using 4.5.10 on my 8300 but cannot find a version higher than this

Thanks

Mr. Opportunist 04-30-2008 02:45 PM

4.5.0.10 has been rock solid for me on my 8300, no complaints

Is the os on the device memory or on the sim card? The only reason I ask is I have a 8310 and I want to get a 8320 with wifi. If I sell the 8310 with V.18 and take my sim card and sd card, will the person that buys my 8310 still have the v.18 features?

donthateme13 05-02-2008 07:28 PM

yes the OS is on the phones ROM, and the software is NOT interchangeable between the 8310 and the 8320

everything else seems to be just fine...haven't noticed any other issues, installed just fine...

has anyone resolved the JiveTalk issue?

(FYI this is on teh 8320 from T-Mobile)

I had this same JiveTalk error today. Also got a similar error using the Northshortcut web shortcut application. I remembered something about it from one of these 4.5 threads. It's posted above....Load Documents to Go in AppLoader and these errors will go away.

Anyone using 4.5.0.28?

hotburnttoast 05-03-2008 10:52 PM

Wirelessly posted

I thought 4.5.0.21 was the latest beta build for the 8320

John Clark 05-03-2008 10:54 PM

.28 is the latest that I've heard about.

Rizzo 05-05-2008 10:01 AM

I put the 4.5.0.18 on my 8310. I really like the speed of the OS compared to the old 4.2. It's definately a nice upgrade, but not a milestone OS release like originally expected. I am seeing some signal fluctuation, but have not had any dropped calls yet. I have not experienced any MMS issues like I have read about either. Overall, I really do like the new OS, and once the signal stability is fixed I can't see myself using another device than my curve. Just my $0.02

JSanders 05-05-2008 10:04 AM

The signal stability is fixed, I have not any further problems, and never the dropped calls issue.

conmetal 05-06-2008 07:38 AM

I'm still running 4.5.0.10 on two 8320's & one 8310 and have not had any issues with memory leaks, dropped calls, BB Msg, or any other errors. Youtube only works via wi-fi on the 8320, but I don't view that as being a problem.
