I would like to know this too.... since T-mobile is not carrying it, might just have to get an unlocked version.. :-P

Try this: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...tethering.html
It will be much the same except to bring up the engineering screen Press alt, Press E Press alt, Press S Press alt, Press C Press alt, Press R. Use the settings from the Torch Post and follow those instructions. |
Re: UMA with 9100 OS6 for T-Mobile???
Its been 24hrs and working like a charm! Bought Unlocked Pearl 9100 AWS (t-mobile 3g bands) from Amazon - followed the Torch Instructions and smoothly sailing on UMA and 3G T-Mobile with-in the hour!!
Ps. Desktop Manger updated the device to OS 6 (1966) automatically upon first connection. Its not the latest version available on this forum but since it choose it for my phone.. I didn't feel the need to change it... so far performance has been excellent. BTW love the Pearl 9100 - Shame on T-Mobile for not offering it to their extensive Pearl 8100 user base (upgraded from 8120).. upgraded to both a Bold and Curve and returned them... size does matter ;-) |

hi rocky99, sorry I had been away from this forum for an extended time... hope you were able to get to the MES screen... for me it just took a number of tries of entering the code and also changing the valid time frame... it wouldn't work the first few times either.
