Wondering if anyone knows if the BWC products are going to get upgraded soon. Heard that the internet will be improved.

Nextel BB 7510 / BWC

It's already been, as far as I know, especially for Nextel devices.

Things like Installing third party web browsers such as www.reqwireless.com should work for your Nextel, as well as installing Verichat from www.verichat.com should work too.

Most "BES" networking software will work on your Nextel without BES. No BES/MDS needed.

You may need to upgrade to BlackBerryOS Version 4.

Actually Mark you have been able to do those things since the 6510.... no change/upgrade there and that's 3.5/3.6 era. Nextel does not provide HTML browser which brownhead may be eluding to with the comment "Heard that the internet will be improved".

Having said that there is supposed to be an upgrade to the BWC that can do more BES like things... sometime in '05.

Hey RCG - you are correct - that is exactly what I meant. I do already own the REQ Wireless browser but I'm not happy with the sites that I can go to and the way it looks. Was looking to find out if the upgrade will give people like me with the BWC a better browser, I guess HTML browser or even better. Sorry for the lack on info on my part. Thanks again fellaz.

oh yea - and I already have the OS4....latest and greatest.

BH,

I think you should consider a hosted BES solution. I recently added MyBlackberry service and it has been very nice so far. Full html experience and improved data speeds. Many applications designed for BES environment work better. $10 month isn't to extreme.

I'm using this on a tmo 7100 which has the carrier html browser... the BES version is much quicker.
