Dissappearing Text Messages!! PLEASE HELP!
 

Hey guys, I’m actually trying to help my boss out with her BlackBerry 9650 on Verizon. She is running the latest Verizon approved OS6 on the company BES. Within the last day or so, for no reason, her older text messages starting showing up in the message list with a green icon (think icon for draft message). When she clicks on the item, there is nothing in the message.

She got the phone sometime in February and has not deleted any of her text messages since she got it. She hasn’t had any issues other than this just happening. She called Verizon and they had no idea.

Is this an OS issue? A Verizon issue? Who else has had this problem and is there a solution to make those text messages reappear? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would start by checking the memory on the device.

Anybody else got any more ideas on this?

We're seeing the same on a BB Bold 9780 OS 6 (Vodafone UK) running on BES.

Old text messages (from a couple of months ago) are showing with the green/draft icon.

If you open the message there's no text and the available character count shows "160/1 of 7".

Battery pull has not fixed it.

I'm also having text messaging problems - my message says either "failed to send message" or "message too long" in spite of the fact it may be a two or three word text. I'm using OS6 - I am on Verizon - I took the phone to Verizon and they tried to fix it but couldn't - told me to use MMS instead of SMS and now it's not working on MMS. Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone ever resolve this issue? Same here on a 9780 running .448
