Real Phone Ringers

Does anyone know where I can find high quality true phone ringers? I don't want songs or cute sayings.

Any help would be appreciated.

gdpmumin 06-08-2006 12:02 PM

What do you mean by "true" phone ringers?

20miles 06-08-2006 12:06 PM

I suppose I mean a business friendly, or "professional" ringtone. I don't want a radio hit playing.

jibi, a super moderator on these forums, has created a mind-boggling array of ringtones from television shows. By his own admission, he watches a lot of television. There are two ringtones used on the television show 24 that are actual ringtones and not cute songs. They sound professional. In fact, I use both of them.

Haha, funny you mention that one. It was the only one I came across, I used it on my 7100 last year. I was hoping their was a larger repository.

Not aware of any others, but to be honest I haven't looked for any others. There are a couple that come on the 7130e that aren't too bad, so between those and the 24 ringtones, I'm set.

Just downloaded the 2 ringers from gdpmumin's suggestion, they are excellent! Thanks all.

That is exactly what I'm looking for. When I try to access the URL I get a "404 Not Found" error message. Any suggestions?

Ms. Mavis 06-08-2006 12:43 PM

I got that at first because I missed a character on the URL.

gdpmumin 06-08-2006 12:43 PM

They're definitely there. I just played them to make sure. Be sure you're typing in the entire URL. It's truncated in the post above. Maybe copy and paste the links in an e-mail message and send them to your BB account. Then you can click directly on the link.

Do you have the full, "untruncated" version you could post?

gdpmumin 06-08-2006 01:55 PM

The board truncated the URLs because they're too long for a line. Just right click and copy link location or send link or any of the other options that you prefer.

ringers

i thought the 8700 has a better selection of "professional" ringers than other phones i've had. oh well, i guess it doesn't matter since its usually in vibrate mode while i'm at work.

Ok, I've got the MP3 file. How do I copy in into my list of ringers on my 7130e?

You have to go to the link in your BlackBerry browser. No way to transfer them from the PC. Once you download them to your BB, clickwheel and save the tune. You can rename it to anything you want to.

drbobr 06-08-2006 02:38 PM

Im in my blackberry browser, I see the MP3 file and I click on the clickwheel but I do not see a "save" option....there is a copy option, save page option, etc???? I know I am close!

drbobr 06-08-2006 02:39 PM

Just figured it out!!!!!

drbobr 06-08-2006 02:41 PM

Does anyone have a link to any bugle tones?
