Cannot copy contacts from SIM
 

Hi
When I try to copy contacts from my SIM to my 8220 it appears to be doing so but when I check the contacts its still empty.
I have installed the desktop software which seems to do very little, unless I do not have the correct software....
All I can do using my PC is to browse the directory contents of my phone.

I have since tried to enter a contact manually into the 8220. Every time I save it it does not appear in the business contacts on the phone.
I do not wish to install or upgrade the phone software at this stage as it has been unlocked, and past experiences with my old Nokia causes the phone to lock up again.

Installing an OS on a blackberry will not change the SIM lock.
It will still be unlocked to any network.

Do you recommend an OS re-install?
Are there any idiot guides on the forum to do this?

Make sure that there are no Filters active in the Address Book/Contacts.
