New Release: 8700 OS 4.2.1.149/4.2.1.94 (GSM Only)
 

Vodafone Germany today released 8700M_PBr4.2.1_rel149_PL2.3.0.77_A4.2.1.94.exe for the BlackBerry 8700 series. On the web site scroll down to the end and click on the button "Akzeptieren und Herunterladen".


To install this update:
1. Download and install the latest version of Desktop Manager
2. Donwload this OS and install it to the PC.
3. Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (this step is necessary any time an OS is installed from a different carrier than what is branded on the BB.)
4. Plug in BB and open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.

which themes are included? will the blackberry.alx from the Bharti version work with this one?

Got everything installed and things are working great! I was missing the extra features of the 4.2 OS, but needed Opera Mini. Now I have the best of both worlds! Oh Happy Day!

ring volume issue
 

anyone know if this has been addressed with this release? My ring/phone volume has been exceptionally low (even at the highest setting) since installing 4.2.

hopefully this new version has fixed it?
