Issues scrolling on 9790
 

Hi,

One of our users has an intermittent scrolling issue on his 9790.

The strangest thing is that he has had a totally new unit as his old touchscreen totally stopped working (a different fault).

The new one also has the issue that it will randomly not scroll, then it just starts working again.
He is on the latest firmware according to the desktop software.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I have heard of this on all models but in rare cases. Usually it's just faulty hardware.

On some occasions it can be caused by the operating system lagging due to a corrupt database or a poorly written third-party app conflicting with something else.

The fact that this unit already had an issue with the touchscreen leads me to believe it's simply a case of a lemon.

Strangest thing is that it has occurred on the old faulty one which has been replaced by a brand new one (or rim reconditioned but it looked brand spanking) and it still happens on the new one which works fine in every other way, hence me asking if anyone else has had the fault.

On the other bits he has no third party software installed and I have tried reflashing from scratch....
