Battery life? Whats yours like?
 

I just picked up a used Blackberry, about a year old, and I love it.

The only thing is if I leave the house at 7AM, buy 5PM, my battery is at 5% or less, just wondering if this is normal?

Online, IM, e-mail, a lot throughout the day, with a decent amount of talk time.

Shutoff Bluetooth, turned down brightness display, and how long the backlight stays on...

Time for a new battery?

If so, is this one good? Seems really cheap:

That sounds about normal for a Nextel battery. I have to charge mine every night.

All right if that sounds normal then I won't purchase a new battery. Thanks a lot for the response.

I have had a 7105t for about a year. First thing I did was purchase the extended life battery from RIM. It is on daily from 7am to 11PM. My BB is on a corporate BES, I receive about 75 emails a day and make a couple of phone calls. I have been getting at least 5 days use out of every charge. I have not been able to run the battery completly down to 0% charge yet. Its a little pricey at $59.00, but well worth it. I hated charging my old 7100t evry other day when I first started using that 2 years ago.

Does that battery require a special battery cover? I think the cell is big enough already and really don't want to make it any bigger. Let me know. The extended life sounds great but I really don't want the phone to be any bigger. Let me know thanks.

I had to change handhelds recently & since then I haven't been able to get a full charge. I still get a full day out of my battery, but I had gotten used to maintaining a high charge throughout the day.

The battery coverage you describe sounds exactly like mine! I have a car charger too but keep a wall charger in my Jeep! I charge where ever i go.
