Can I disable the "reply to all recipients" function?
 

I've tried searching but can't find anything on a way around this.

When I reply to a text that was sent to multiple recipients, it automatically replies to everyone the original sender sent it to.

I'll apologize in advance if this has been covered somewhere but I couldn't find it.

The reply function operates just the way you would think on my model, and also on previous models and OS versions I've used.

Is your BlackBerry on a BES?

I'm not sure what a BES is so I'm assuming its not.

My email reply function works as it should but whenever I reply to a text that was sent to multiple people. I have to go in and manually remove the recipients that i don't want it to go to.

If not, I get a lot of replies from people asking who am I and what am I talking about. I can work around it but its really frustrating me. I had a Curve & a Pearl before this and never had a problem.

My error. I missed that you are talking about SMS. I was thinking email. I don't use SMS/MMS and so no experience. Apologies. I can't say whether that's just the way it is or not.

Thanks again for trying. I'm so frustrated...I'm about to give this phone to my kid and pull my Curve out of the drawer
