Yes, official T-Mobile site. Link works for me although it's extremely slow (probably getting hammered by downloads).

Up and running here. I just switched from the 9800 to the 9810 and have everything working except BeBuzz. Anyone have that working?

I just got my 9810 so I don't have much to compare this to but my I watch my 4G go to gprs, GPRS, EDGE, edge, etc. It bounces all over the place.

Is this normal or just a problem in my little town?

9810 with 7.1 and a solid "4G" signal in the Boston area. I don't think I've ever seen it drop to anything else around here. Was getting almost solid "4G" on Setar in Aruba a few weeks ago also.

Hey John,

I noticed that last night I was getting the signal type bouncing as well. However, only after UMA was activated. Today when I had no UMA active (but had Bluetooth (bridge to Playbook and connected to GPS) and Wireless Hotspot active it held a solid H+ signal.

That's when I've noticed it, as well. Its whenever I also have wifi turned on. I haven't been using the wifi calling.

Another issued I've noticed is that if I turn off both the wifi and mobile network at the sametime I can't turn back on the mobile network. It will say "off" even though the box is checked at first. Then when I cycle it again it will say "searching for network" and then eventually "No Service" until I reboot the device.

That one I just tested, and I was able to successful restore wireless services without a reboot. I did not it jumped from "GSM" to "edge" to "EDGE" and held on EDGE for a while before finally going to "H+".

Re: Latest official OS for 9810 - 7.1.0.284

I downloaded and installed. The only "bug" I've discovered is the touch screen doesn't work on the BB clock function. Also, I could configure previous versions to enter the "beside" mode and fade to black. I'm not able to do that in this version.

That being said, it isn't enough for me to uninstall. I enjoy the hotspot function to the point where I am dumping my pay as you go MiFi card from Virgin Mobile. Which worked well but I won't need to lug around when I travel. I have an unlimited data plan with ATT and rarely go over 2GB. So I should be okay.

I like this version.

Does this bundle work for an AT&T Torch? From FFTONYB it is?

Thanks John! Pardon the ignorance - I used to do these things a lot, but I'm a little rusty. I went to the T-mobile link and have the s/w downloading now. Once it's downloaded - what are the procedures. I didn't see intrucutions for that.

Download the software from above then just use the instructions found in the first post here:

Re: Latest official OS for 9810 - 7.1.0.284

I downloaded the software, deleted the file vendor.xml. I double cliccked the loader.exe. It runs but the device never reboots and loads the new OS. I'm on Windows 7 (not xp or vista) I noticed I had to go to c:\program files (x86\commom files\research in motion\apploader to find the files. There was no RIM under just program files. Any ideas?

I downloaded the software and deleted vender.xml file. I do not see the compatibility file it speaks of.

I got it working and I'm liking it. I switched to an XP machine. Not sure what the "Compatibility file" is w/Windows 7. Would welcome input for figure reference.

I have no problems installing an OS upgrade on Windows 7.
