CallHelper.exe error
CalHelper.exe, version 4.1.6.45, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4455, fault address 0x0002c873.
The above error appears in my BES Application logs. Its doesn't appear to affect anything but could do with some suggestions to fix the error. (y) |
Is Anybody home :)

With me this was caused by DEP on my W2K3 BES blocking the exe by defaulting to blocking all but named exceptions. I set DEP to on for "essential Windows programs and services only" and all was good. But I also had cal sync issues while that was happening so it could be something different with you.

Thanks Stu
can you elaborate? Wots DEP? Thanks N |

Thats not very helpful - information sharing is the key to success! I thought this site was setup to share infor???
I am the sysadmin for the org, the buck stops with me. I'll research elsewhere if I can't ge help on here..:? Thanks anyway :x |
As per usual, you would rather have us give you the info than search. If you "research" by typing what I said into Google, you will have the answers. I told you the possible issue and what it's called. Why should I type out all the steps when a quick Google will take you to the MS KB with the info?
If you can't be bothered, that's not my fault. There is no point in this site duplicating info posted on the vendor's site verbatim. |

From what I can see theres no point in you pretending to know what your talking about when you don't. Unify or die indeed - bit of a hypocrytical statement dont you think. |

I'm claiming you don't know what the problem is that I am having, its easy to guess at what you think it might be, but I dont see how that helps. I'm an Infrastructure Architect so I have reasearchers working for me, they find outt what I need to know. Why are you pretending to be a helpfull BB Admin when all you do is search a problem and post your finding, my 7 yr old could do that. I don't need to post any evidence as its clear your a fraud, you should take a leaf out of knotty ropes book, he's always happy to help. don't worry i've found a Blackberry website that helps.. |
Whoa, nigelm, you are way out of line.
This site is run and used by people who volunteer their time in helping others. Not a single person here is paid except for the owner (not even the Moderators). Stu offered his knowledge of this subject with what caused the error for HIM. If you are not willing to do a little Google searching yourself, then nobody here can help you. If you want a difinitive answer, get T-Support and call RIM yourself. |

All I have to say is a little appreciation goes a long way. Stu has helped you on multiple occasions. Check your other threads. He is not here to hold your hand or spoon feed you. He pointed you in the right direction, what more do you want him to do, your job for you?

Way out of line? in YOUR opinion! helping others? Debateable! Knowlege? hmmm I beg to differ! Google is where my researchers start looking, I don't have time to google I'm afraid, I'm too busy with real work. Like I said to Stu, I've found a helpfull BB site so enough time wasted here Thanks. I really don't have time for childish 'wannabe' admins delete my account - bye |
