VZW 8830 Charging issues
 

My 8830 will only completely charge it's battery when plugged into AC. When I try charging using any of my Mac laptops using USB, the phone displays a message stating there is not enough power going to the phone to charge it. Same when I use the car adapter. I've tried different cables, ports and car plug outlets. I first thought I had a phone issue and VZW exchanged it for me. The phones both seemed to charge fine initially, then exhibited the above problem. Again, works fine using AC but this is quite inconvenient to a frequent traveler.

for a computer I think to get adequate charge you need DeskTop manager installed (unfortunately not supported on MAC)

not sure whats up with the car charger, could be the port in you car is bad
