How to combine two different backups?

Hi folks,

i had a crash two weeks ago and my BB died....
but fortunately I got a new one from my vodafone. 8-)

so... there is an issue with my sms inbox...

i have an old backup with all my old sms messages,
and i have made a new one with all new sms messages,
(coz i was one week abroad and had no time to load
the old backup to my new device.)

but I can't figure out how to combine those two backups
and get all sms messages to my device.

I can have either the old mailbox or the new one on my BB....

does anyone knew a solution?

I tried to save the new messages and load the old ones but
they just get erased...

THX

You can't combine them. Wish there was a way, but there isn't.

Wirelessly posted (8330 Sprint)

My 2 cents: might need to figure out why you need all of those old sms messages.

If you need to save the SMS messages, you could always extract them from the old backup with that ipd something something .jar program.

Yep and it's on this thread that Mod JS mentioned about ipddump: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...out-phone.html
Good luck and welcome to the forums!
