Can anyone tell me who the best is to go through to get an international SIM card. I know of Brightroam but thats really about the only one I know. ANY help would be Appreciated... Thanks.. C.G.

Orange UK offers pre-paid SIM cards with BlackBerry data. Few others offer the data on a pre-paid SIM though. You will need to call Verizon before you leave and have your PIN disassociated with your Verizon account. That doesn't cancel your BIS account with Verizon, but it frees your BlackBerry so you can get data with the pre-paid carrier you choose.

You need to look at all the options. If you were to get a UK SIM, then that would only be OK for the UK and you'd need to get local SIMs in every country you visit.

I would recommend an international SIM as this way you only have to buy one SIM for the two month trip. Otherwise you'll be juggling SIMs and will lose any credit you have on that SIM when you visit another country.

Have you checked out Aether Mobile? Their service covers all the countries you've mentioned (well over 200 in all), and they offer free incoming calls in 76 countries. I've used their service for a few years when I travel and my Berry is unlocked already so I could use it straightaway. Their rates are really good and very competitive. Check out their website. I'd highly recommend them. It's easy to use, easy to top up when you need to and there's no expiry on the SIM or the credit.

Re: Help w/international SIM Card

When I was in the U.K. a couple of years ago, my friend (who lives in the U.K.) and I were going on a road trip through northern Europe.

I ended up getting a T-Mobile SIMM, as that was all we could find on short notice. Worked out good though. It seems that T-Mobile doesn't sell U.K. only SIMMs. Or at least the guy picked up on the mention of the upcoming road trip.

Either way, their SIMM works all over Europe and is a pre-pay, where money is placed into the account via their website. I put in 25 pounds and never used all of that the two weeks we were on the road. Didn't do voice calling. We texted when we went separate ways when visiting certain locations.

In any event, you shouldn't have an issue. I have US Cellular and didn't have to do anything, other than tell the phone that GSM can be used.

Funny thing is that GSM is in my home area and if set to global, GSM is selected before CDMA and the T-Mobile connected and sent me the rates for using it here in the states... OUCH! Needless to say, I quickly reset it for CDMA :D
