Is there any app that can be used to upgrade the software of a BB?
 

I got a BB Bold but I can't upgrade it by connecting it to a PC neither by updating with a wifi connection. I want to know if there's any app that I can download from the App World that helps me to update my Bold to the last OS. Thanks

You need to install the Desktop Manager to your pc, then download and install a compatibler os for your device to your pc. After that you can connect your device to the pc via usb, run the DM and it will prompt you to update.

Yes I know I should do that, but the problem is that when I connect the BB to the pc, an error message pops in the screen saying that windows can't recognize the device and the BB doesn't appear in the Computer screen. That's why Desktop Manager can't recognize my BB when I connect it to the pc.

Really I didn't try those suggestions because I didn't understand what to do exactly. Do you understand what the other guy said? Can you explain me that? Thanks a lot

The other guy(Dubdub) was pointing you to a "sticky thread" at the top of the BlackBerry Help section of the forums regarding the problem of Desktop Manager will not connect/detect my BB
