how to transfer data from 8900 Curve to the Z3??
 

Hello folks - I've read quite a few blogs on this subject but my main problem is that when I connect the 8900 curve to BB Link - the main page is not giving me the data transfer window option - it actually comes on for a millisecond and then disappears. Is there a solution?

Not sure. BlackBerry Link problems usually stump me.

So, it's not a connectivity problem, correct. You are connected?

Try this. Reboot the computer and restart Link. At the same time, do a hard reset on the 8900. Then try again.

A hard reset is performed by removing the battery while the power is on. Wait 30 seconds, at least, before putting the battery back.

I have used desktop manager to backup older BB's and using the backup file data moved it to the new phone. doing this allows movement of data from phones not being "device switched" I did this for a contact list from an older BB. I did have to manually delete any duplicates but it saved time having to manually input each..
