Are you doing it from the setup wizard on the blackberry device, or on website from computer?

It shouldn't make a difference, unless right now there is some sort of glitch. Try the other alternative from what you are doing now and see.

Do you have special characters in your password? Some characters don't work.

VanGoaL 12-24-2009 02:09 AM

and nothing change

Do you have Yahoo Plus account? My friend you need to upgrade to Yahoo plus account. If you are using Yahoo free account then you will not be provisioned POP3 services; which are required for fetching emails on Blackberry or Outlook. Gmail and Hotmail are providing POP3 services for free.

You have to pay $20 to upgrade to Yahoo plus account. If you want to save money then I am afraid you have to have gmail or hotmail configured on your BB Device.

MidnightDraven 12-24-2009 07:13 AM

You do NOT need to pay to get your yahoo mail on your phone.

shahzadk007 12-24-2009 07:48 AM

MidnightDraven I think you don't know about Yahoo Plus or you already have got your Yahoo Plus account. Yahoo don't allow POP3 for free users.
Please read this, if you don't believe me :

You definitely do NOT need a plus account.

Double check that you're entering your email address and password accurately.

shahzadk007, I believe the info in the link that you provided, is only if you want to use a 3rd party email client. It doesn't apply to BlackBerry.

shahzadk007, you are absolutely incorrect as it applies to Yahoo Mail on BlackBerry.

You do NOT have to have a Yahoo Plus account in order to have your Yahoo Mail pushed to your BlackBerry through the BIS. Unequivocally.

Still not working?

Motorcycle Mama 12-24-2009 04:32 PM

VanGoaL, how exactly are you trying to add the Yahoo address?

VanGoaL 12-26-2009 07:25 PM

by email wizard

i wrote my email address and my password ..
that's it !

and told me that my username or my password invalid !!

Berry One 12-27-2009 03:32 PM

If you are sure address and password are correct, your country must be on the list of countries for which Yahoo does not provide push email service.
You can't do anything about it.

BULLS-i 12-27-2009 06:42 PM

i use to have the same problem, but not anymore since i upgrade to BB 9700 onyx.

Sydman 12-27-2009 08:17 PM

I get my Yahoo just fine on my phone and I don't pay nothing. Don't listen to that nonsense.

shahzadk007 12-29-2009 05:59 AM

Guys then tell me if Blackberry is not using POP3 to get the emails from email server then which technology does it use?
