Remove email inbox notifier on Desktop

I'm going on holiday soon, and don't want to be distracted by emails. (I want to use the phone though). I've been trying to find a way of removing the yellow inbox notifier from the Desktop. Can anyone help please? (I've found a way of removing the inbox count - but that's as far as I've got:-(:-( )

you can ask your BESadmin to stop redirection
