8230 DRM nonsense

I bought my 8230 over the weekend, went to transfer a song from the external hard drive I've put all of my CDs onto, and the file won't play due to a DRM error. Does anybody have any suggestions, please?

If its protected, thats it. a Blackberry wont play it.

Hmm. I would think that a 20 year old CD has neither seen nor heard of DRM.

Yes, but you ripped that CD to your PC to put on an external hard drive.
When ripping, it may have included protection.
