yellow text icon

I've got a yellow text icon with the number 1 in front of it, when my cursor is on the messages icon it shows "(1) SMS And MMS", what means that I heve 1 unopened text... but it is impossible I checked many times all folders there is no unopened texts.

I had the same icon on my screen last week for many days annoyng me , I took the batery off to restart the device, it desappears, now it shows again... please help me to take it off for good.

No. Voicemail has a tape icon.

Check your saved messages (I assume you can save SMS and MMS). Maybe you accidently saved one.

If that is not it, do a hard reset (battery removal, with power on, for at least 30 seconds) and check again.

If still there, highlight the date bar in your messages folders and select mark all read from the menu.

If that doesn't fix it, you could try changing your theme to another of your installed themes, then change back.

There may be other tricks. If the above don't work, see what others say.

Your last resort is to do a clean reinstall of the OS and restore your data from a backup. Or live with it until it clears on its own.
